Like many other parts of our body, our teeth are meant to last throughout our lives. Teeth are made of strong and resilient materials, which is why they can last for so long. It may seem like an infeasible feat to keep all your teeth forever. However, it's totally possible with the right dental care, precautions, and knowledge. The first step to keeping your teeth healthy for a lifetime is proper dental care. This includes brushing your teeth at least twice a day, but it doesn't stop there. Simply brushing twice a day isn't enough. You will also need to make sure to floss. Flossing gets out bacteria and plaque from between the teeth. Besides brushing and flossing, you will also need to make regular visits to our dentist office. Why Dentist Visits are NecessaryA visit to our dentist office accomplishes two things. First, we are able to clean your teeth more thoroughly than you can alone. While brushing and flossing are great at stopping bacteria from decaying teeth, it's not quite enough. Bacteria still can turn into plaque with proper dental care. By visiting us, we will be able to remove built up plaque that can't be removed normally. The second thing you get by coming to our office is insight. Our years of experience allow us to identify problems that may go unnoticed. One of the most important things you can do for your teeth is stop problems before they become larger. While you're at our office, we'll be able to check for any problems which may cause premature tooth decay. If you're thinking about scheduling a dentist appointment, please contact our office. We will be able to set you up with an appointment and take a look at your teeth. While you're here, we can even give you some dental knowledge to keep your teeth protected for a lifetime! |
